Activity Room Renovation
The Youth Library's downstairs Activity Room is in desperate need of a makeover! Added on in 1964, the room has served as a home to many activities for many different groups including local Girl Scouts, Rutland Windsor Supervisory Union, Side Hill Cronchers Snomobile Club, Black River Area Community Coalition, Vermont Department of Libraries and more. We are currently raising money to give this well loved space the attention and face lift is so greatly deserves! If you would like to help in any way, please contact Megan @ 228-3517.
The Finished Product Will Include the Following:
Updated, fresh paint that makes you feel like you've walked into a pop-up book!
New activity tables, a dress up area, and toy storage that follows the pop-up book theme.
New story area furnishings will create a comfortable space large enough for children and parents to enjoy books one on one and during Story Hour.
Open shelving for toys and books that won't block out sunlight.
New area for teens to read, visit, study and craft.
